Mission
The Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Buffalo exist to teach, serve, and evangelize. In partnership with families and our Catholic community, we are dedicated to both the academic excellence and faith formation of our students.
Vision
Rooted in a strong and enduring Catholic tradition, we envision a future in which Catholic education remains accessible to all who seek it, now and for generations to come.
Core Values
Faith: Faith is lived through prayer, worship, and daily actions rooted in the Gospel and the teachings of the Catholic Church. Our schools nurture faith by integrating Catholic identity into learning, relationships, and decision-making, helping students grow in their relationship with God and their understanding of the Church’s mission. We value faith because it gives meaning to our work and anchors our communities in hope, love, and truth.
Service: Service is the outward expression of our faith, modeled on Christ’s call to love and serve others. Through acts of compassion, outreach, and solidarity—locally and globally—schools, families, and students live out Catholic social teaching and a commitment to the common good. We value service because it forms disciples who recognize the dignity of every person and respond generously to the needs of the world.
Knowledge: Knowledge is developed through strong instruction, high academic expectations, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Our schools promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and deep understanding across content areas, using research-based practices and meaningful assessment to guide learning. We value knowledge because it prepares students to succeed academically, think independently, and apply their learning responsibly.
Character: Character is built through clear expectations, consistent modeling, and a supportive school environment. Schools emphasize integrity, respect, responsibility, and perseverance in both academic and social settings. We value character because it influences how students make decisions, interact with others, and grow as leaders.
This is aligned with the Diocese of Buffalo's Profile of an Eighth Grade Graduate.
