Tue, Apr 22nd 2014 12:00 pm

This year marks the twenty-third year of the annual Vocation Awareness Contest sponsored by the Vocation Office of the Diocese of Buffalo and the Serra Club of Buffalo.

The purpose of the vocation contest is to increase an awareness and appreciation of Church vocations - with emphasis upon God's call to the priesthood, diaconate, and religious life. The contest is directed toward students in both Religious Education Programs and Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Buffalo.

JESUS CAME TO SERVE is the theme of the 2014 contest. Students in Kindergarten through Grade 8 are asked to express their vocation thoughts relating to the theme in the form of a poster, prayer, or symbol.

Students with winning entries, along with their guests, have been invited to the Catholic Center on May 1, 2014 for an awards presentation with Bishop Malone.
